Indy Fresh is a locally-based catering company serving Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. We specialize in event catering for any occasion.

Catering gets a bad rap. How many times have you had a catered meal that’s just lackluster, both in look and taste? We’ve all been there. And that’s exactly the opposite of what we do.

Indy Fresh Catering brings you meals packed with flavor that have in fact been vetted specifically for traveling long distance to your catered affair. No wilted salads here, my friend!

We aim to be Indianapolis’ most trusted caterer, and think we’ve earned our stripes in that regard. Owner and native Hoosier Toby Nunley opened up our doors in 2013 to meet a growing a demand for an affordable Indianapolis caterer offering high-quality, flexible, full-service catering with a variety of menu options, but we’ve actually been going strong for longer. Together with our local Moe’s Southwest Grill catering arm, which opened in 2005, we’ve catered over 100,000 successful events in Indy, from corporate luncheons to the whole gamut of wedding events and much more. Our sage catering team, including 30-year culinary industry veteran Executive Chef Scott Vogel, know that both topnotch food and service are of utmost importance, and so, we deliver you with the stress-free and taste-bud-approved catering experience you deserve, every time.

We are not a restaurant trying to get in on the catering action. We are caterers, period. All of our menu items have been vetted for catering. We’ve tested them to make sure they hold up during travel in a car and keep looking and tasting great for hours over heat. And we bring you everything you need, from ice to cutlery, so you don’t have to give it a second thought.

Toby Nunley
Owner

Born and bred in Indiana and a graduate of Purdue University, Toby puts the “local” in Indy Fresh Catering. With a knack for creating systems, quality checks and fostering customer relationships, this 12-year veteran of the catering business oversees our business development and sales and strategic planning.

Tim Hardin
Owner

Tim is the glue that holds all of Indy Fresh’s departments together. Ever calm, collected and focused, he is responsible for masterminding our catering operations as well as training our family of managers, crew members and delivery drivers.

Lisa Cowan
Catering Operations Manager

Lisa is Queen of Details. Incredible with logistics and with a 35-year background in customer service, this spunky lady manages our bookings and works closely with clients. Whether orders come in via text message, phone or email, she keeps everything organized, on schedule and accurate for our customers.

With a background in Event Planning and 7 years of experience in the Food Industry, Amy is the perfect person to help navigate our wedding clients through the quoting and ordering process. Detail oriented and thorough, with a passion for wedding planning, she will be happy answer any questions you may have, and create a customized catering experience for your big day!

Craig Baker

 Culinary Consultant

Craig worked his way through college in kitchens at various restaurants in Pennsylvania and along the eastern seaboard. After his college graduation, he followed his passions to Portland, Oregon and into the kitchen of Assaggio, an award-winning authentic Italian restaurant, where he served as chef de cuisine. Over the following twenty years, he has excelled in the industry by winning awards and utilizing his experiences. His first restaurant and bar, Echo, in Portland was ranked one of Portland’s top 50 restaurants. In spring 2006, Craig sold Echo to his business partner and relocated to Indiana.

He has had recognition for his work in culinary competitions, industry publications and in the press. His work has been featured in the “Best of” lists in both Portland and Indianapolis along with regional and national cookbooks.

In 2012-2018 he was recognized by Top Chef’s of America, James Beard House, Zagat, Urban Spoons and OpenTable’s Top 100 lists for Family Friendly Meals and Gluten Free restaurants in the country, Top 10 Cocktails, best of Charcuterie, Top Meals, Hot Spots, Top 25 Restaurants 2011-2016 by Indy Monthly and Eater’s best restaurants in Indiana.

In 2013 – 2018 he competed in the World Food Championships placing as high as first and winning other national and regional competitions across the country. One of Craig’s restaurants, The Local was recognized nationally for its mission to support local economies, farms, artisans, and philanthropy. He has appeared on local and national television and radio promoting different charities, events/restaurants, and culinary competitions.

Craig recently sold his shares in Plow and Anchor, The Taco Shop, Bent Rail Brewery, and the Local Eatery and Pub to open a consulting company. He now has opened twenty-eight restaurants and hotels across North America and the Bahamas. His specialization in opening and in project management from inception has enabled him to work with global companies like SBE Entertainment Group, SLS Hotels, Walmart, Clearwater Seafood along with regional chains across the United States.
