Owner and native Hoosier Toby Nunley opened up our doors in 2013 to meet a growing a demand for an affordable Indianapolis caterer offering high-quality, flexible, full-service catering with a variety of menu options, but we’ve actually been going strong for longer. Together with our local Moe’s Southwest Grill catering arm, which opened in 2005, we’ve catered over 100,000 successful events in Indy, from corporate luncheons to the whole gamut of wedding events and much more. Our sage catering team, including 30-year culinary industry veteran Executive Chef Scott Vogel, know that both topnotch food and service are of utmost importance, and so, we deliver you with the stress-free and taste-bud-approved catering experience you deserve, every time.

As a local Indianapolis-based small business, we are focused on serving the needs of our community. We also work with local distributors and other local businesses to source our food items, including award winning BBQ sauce and Cornerstone Bread Co.’s baked goods.

We are not a restaurant trying to get in on the catering action. We are caterers, period. All of our menu items have been vetted for catering. We’ve tested them to make sure they hold up during travel in a car and keep looking and tasting great for hours over heat. And we bring you everything you need, from ice to cutlery, so you don’t have to give it a second thought.

Our team has been at this whole catering thing for a while, and has built a great reputation for service, if we do say so ourselves! We totally understand why you need your catering order to be on time, just the way you ordered it and delicious to boot.

Toby Nunley

Born and bred in Indiana and a graduate of Purdue University, Toby puts the “local” in Indy Fresh Catering. With a knack for creating systems, quality checks and fostering customer relationships, this 12-year veteran of the catering business oversees our business development and sales and strategic planning.

Tim Hardin

Tim is the glue that holds all of Indy Fresh’s departments together. Ever calm, collected and focused, he is responsible for masterminding our catering operations as well as training our family of managers, crew members and delivery drivers.

Lisa is Queen of Details. Incredible with logistics and with a 35-year background in customer service, this spunky lady manages our bookings and works closely with clients. Paul Haveck
Head Chef

Chef Paul Haveck, a native to the Midwest, brings sensible and approachable flavors with over fifteen years of experience working in the top restaurants of Indianapolis. In 2012 Chef Paul became the Chef de Cuisine of The Libertine Liquor Bar under James Beard-nominated Executive Chef & Owner Neal Brown. Working the day to day operations and developing seasonal cuisine he developed relationships with local farmers and artisans to deliver only the highest quality that Indiana food producers had to offer to the Libertines patrons. Over the next year, Owner Neal Brown’s hospitality group would grow from two restaurants to four, and Chef Paul Haveck was called on to take

the lead for not only the newly relocated Libertine but also Pizzology a Neopolitan and regional Italian restaurant directly above the industry-leading Craft Cocktail Bar.

In 2015, Chef Paul Haveck took an opportunity to work with The James Beard-nominated talent of Chef Alan Sternberg at Cerulean Restaurant. Cerulean Restaurant held a reputation for bringing modern techniques to fine dining cuisine within the progressive art hotel of the Alexander in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

Guests of the hotel, as well as the locals, rejoiced in the warm hospitality, affordable tasting menus and overall spirit of the acclaimed Indianapolis destination. A little over a year later Chef Paul sought experience in large event catering. The Indiana State Fairgrounds reached out to Chef Paul for his experience in cuisine and Midwest sensibilities. After feeding thousands of satisfied people throughout the year Chef Paul found his home with local caterer Indy Fresh. When asked about his goals with the local caterer he replied: “I look forward to bringing my experiences and fresh take on catered meals to Indy Fresh’s loyal customers.”
